In the lobby, a larger-than-life video wall rotates with larger-than-life images of the silver screen’s most luminous stars. On display in our corridors and guestrooms, you’ll find an expertly curated collection of historic film stills and behind-the-scenes studio shots from Hollywood films of the 1930s, 40s and 50s.
Built in 1912, the Hotel Deluxe has Hollywood Regency interiors, with stills from classic movies by Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Capra, and more. We love the Marlene Dietrich Suite, with its eight-foot circular bed and shimmering crystal lamps.

Originally built as the Hotel Mallory in 1912 as one of the most luxurious hotels in Portland, it was revamped in 2006 and is now not only swanky but loads of fun. There is a screening room where they hold pop-up screenings and the Driftwood bar is known for seriously good cocktails. The hotel also rolls out the red carpet for your pets too.

Book a room at the Hotel deLuxe, and you'll be a few blocks from some of downtown's most happening spots. But you might want to cancel plans and drift up to the bar at the Driftwood Room off the lobby. The hotel pays homage to the golden age of Hollywood, and the bar pays homage to the golden age of drinking high-end cocktails in an intimate, dimly lit tavern -- which, let's be honest, never goes out of style.

Best Hotel Bars: The Driftwood Room pays tribute to Hollywood’s Golden Age with original Art Deco interiors and drinks named after classic films and cinema legends. It’s also become a favorite haunt for mixologists and other locals serious about cocktails.
